We again revert back and bring you a film by contemporary Japanese master, *Hirokazu Koreeda* and the movie chosen for this Sunday’s screening is his 2008 film *’Still Walking’*
The film portrays a family drama about grownup children visiting their elderly parents which unfolds over one summer day. Although the roomy house is as comforting and unchanging as the mother’s homemade feast, we see that everyone in the family has subtly changed.
Few other directors have captured the beauty of family drama with such subtlety and grace as the Japanese directors did. Continuing the legacy old Japanese legend Yasujiro Ozu, Koreeda brilliantly deals with the problems of generational gap, young & the old and the traditional and the modern. Here is Hirokazu Koreeda’s yet another gem of a film apart from his films ‘Nobody Knows’, ‘Our Little Sister’ and ‘I Wish’ already screened by us.
So do not miss this brilliant film.
