Another proud moment for Nagpur as another film from the city is making news all over the world. ‘NISTARAN’ a film directed by Daksh Chadha and produced by LORDS FILMS in association with BASHOLI PRODUCTION and starring Santosh HiraSinghani is now selected in the prestigious LA Film Festival. The film is entirely shot in and around Nagpur and most of the cast and crew is from the city too. Daksh Chadha who has written, shot and directed the film has worked with Anurag Kashyap in the past and considers him as his mentor. It was Anurag Kashyap only who motivated Daksh to make NISTARAN into a full feature length film.
For Santosh Hirasinghani also this is the first feature film as a lead actor. He has recently worked in numerous short films in Central India and had studied Acting from Anupam Kher’s Actors Prepares. He also won the ‘Best Actor’ award at the Indian Film Project, a film making competition last year. After LAFF, Nistaran is selected in ROME too.
NISTARAN is about extreme interiors of a village where 4 teenagers go through different emotions while chasing different goals in life. They all find it eventually but through really tragic ways which change them so much that they don’t know if they still want to chase those goals anymore.
